I’m not feeling so well…

Honouring the past, guarding the present, securing the futureImage by Andrewthecook via Flickr

No, I’m not sick. It’s just that my mind hasn’t been acting as it should today.

For example, I try to come up with content for articles… I get nothing. I stare at the blank screen.

When I finally come up with something and I KNOW what to write… Nothing seems to happen. I never seem to get started. I get distracted and check my email instead, like that’s a valid excuse for not doing work.

Same thing happened at school today in maths class. I was like sitting there, knowing exactly how I was supposed to go about calculating these equations and whatnot, but somehow, I didn’t. It took me like 10 minutes to do ONE thing.

Not fun ):

And now, I don’t know what I could write anymore… My mind is empty. I wonder if it’s like my mind going through an elevation in consciousness or something, and I’m “between floors” so to speak. I have no idea really, and I don’t like being clueless.

This has been one of my most unproductive days ever… I’m amazed at my ability to come up with this much content for a blog post on a day like this.

Well, stay awesome and I’ll see ya tomorrow

Hi Linus :)

It seems you’re suffering from the “writer’s block,” or at least to a certain rate.

When you know what you’re going to do but just can’t seem to have enough creativity to do it, all you have to do is stop immediately what you are doing, and go off doing something completely different, and preferably something you ENJOY doing.

For example if you can’t write because no word or sentence is coming to your mind, just stop writing and do some… design, drawings or watch TV, it could be anything. Ok you can’t do that at school lol, but if your creativity is a little tired, need to load it with cool exercises from different diciplines. Just have fun and you’ll see your creativity will be back some minutes later, or after one hour if the “block” was really serious LOL!

So, never forget to do what you like, to relax, to watch programs you enjoy on TV, listen to music, and especially organise your time doing it.

Good luck!
K’

Thanks Karim, I’ll remember that :)

Actually, about an hour later after I wrote that, my usual self came back to me. I wrote for like 2 hours straight for a website…
